The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is bringing some of the nation’s top NCAA Division II basketball teams to Family Arena this March for the 2016 GLVC Basketball Championship Tournament. Eight men’s and eight women’s teams will converge on St. Charles, Missouri with one goal in mind: to leave as Champion.

The 2016 GLVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship Tournaments will take place March 3-6, with opening round contests taking place on campus on Feb. 28. This season the women’s teams will compete in four quarterfinal games at Family Arena on Thursday, March 3. The eight advancing men’s teams will then play all four quarterfinal contests on Friday, March 4.

Semifinal action commences on Saturday, March 5 with the women competing in the first two games at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. CT, with the men’s semifinalists taking to the court at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The GLVC Champions will be crowned on Sunday, March 6 with the women’s final tipping at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s championship contest at 3:30 p.m. Both winners will earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.

In the tournament’s debut at Family Arena last year, Drury swept both the men’s and women’s titles. The second-seeded Panthers defeated No. 1 seed Bellarmine 77-70 in the men’s final, while the top-seeded Lady Panthers topped No. 3 Southern Indiana 68-65 for the women’s crown.

All-Tournament passes, which are good for all seven sessions, will be $38. A single-session ticket will be $18 for adults and seniors, and $11 for students with a valid ID. Children ages 6 and under are free.
