Positions

Stand Manager

Current Status: Open
Department: Concessions
Type: Part-Time
Immediate Supervisor: Concession Supervisor
Supervision Exercised and Statement of Duties: Supervise production of all food items being sold out of the concession stand. Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensure all closing tasks are completed on closing checklists in the allotted time.

  • Limit waste and spoilage by ongoing communication with other areas of the concession stand.
  • Must have strong math skills and cash-handling skills.

  • Monitor overall maintenance of concession stand and other work areas.

Concession Utility Worker

Current Status: Open

Type: Part-Time
Immediate Supervisor: Concession Supervisor

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Preparation of food items necessary for all events.

Ticket Seller

Current Status: Open
Department: Box Office
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Box Office Manager

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Answer guest questions in regard to Family Arena policies and procedures.
  • Assist guests in purchasing tickets to all events at the Family Arena.
  • Responsible for processing all ADA ticket requests.
  • Responsible for processing team ticket sales as well as Family Arena events.
  • Held accountable for all comp and discounted tickets pulled off the ticket system.
  • Accountable for balancing individual daily ticket sales revenue.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks requested by the Ticket Office Manager.

Qualifications:

Must possess a will to work in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service skills, and cash handling/ math skills. Must be able to work well with others as a team. Kitchen Cook

Current Status: Open
Department: Food and Beverage
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Catering Manager

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Preparation of sauces, dressings and other food items necessary for all events.
  • Proper rotation of food to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Following all recipes and menu item specifications. Recipe books and spec books are located in the Chef’s office.
  • Complete all tasks and prep lists in allotted time.
  • Maintain an organized clean and safe work area at all times, as described in the employee handbook.
  • Question anything that may be unclear to you.
  • Limit waste and spoilage by on-going communication with other areas of the concession stand.
  • Adherence to all policies and guidelines as described in the Family Arena handbook.
  • Assume responsibility for nay duty asked of you by any member of Management or other supervisor.
  • Overall maintenance of kitchen and other work areas.
  • Learn at least one thing every shift.

Cash Room Worker

Current Status: CLOSED
Department: Business Operations
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Finance Manager This position is responsible for the proper handling of all cash receipts. Prior To Events

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assemble and issue cash banks for food and beverage, concessions, parking, and merchandise.
  • Provide all forms necessary to record cash and credit card receipts.
  • Enter banks issued into Tangent system.

At Conclusion Of Events

  • Receive and account for cash from food and beverage concessions, parking, and merchandise.
  • Reconcile cash received to POS expected totals for concessions.
  • Notify concessions management of any significant shortages or overages.
  • Enter receipts into Tangent system.
  • Reconcile cash on hand to total event receipts.

Other Duties

  • Maintain record of vault cash balance and all vault transactions.
  • Instruct concessions, food and beverage, and parking employees on proper completion of event forms.
  • Roll coins as necessary.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on currency and coin machines.

Qualifications: 

  • Ability to balance and reconcile large volumes of cash receipts.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key adding machine by touch.
  • Knowledge of personal computer operation; ability to learn Tangent systems.
  • Ability to operate coin and currency counting machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with food and beverage employees and management.
  • Upon hire, must provide at your own cost a background check from your local police department.

Usher/Ticket Taker

Current Status: Closed
Department: Guest Services
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Guest Services Manager An usher’s primary responsibility is to greet the guests as they enter the seating section and to show the guests to their seats.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Smile and make eye contact!
  • Be certain each guest is greeted in a warm, friendly manner (“Good evening” or “Welcome”)
  • Ensure that guests are orderly prior to the opening of the doors.
  • Be certain that each guest possesses a valid admission ticket by checking that the proper event name, date, and time appear on each ticket.
  • Direct all guests to the general direction of their seating sections (“Section __ is to your left and an usher Keep your lines moving as rapidly as possible, and if able, assist other ticket takers by directing longer lines to your area.
  • Be responsible for maintaining correct ticket counts and turnstile numbers. A drop count will be taken at each event.
  • After the ticket counts are complete, a ticket taker may be required to be posted at a section where an usher is needed.
  • Be on time. Be in uniform and ready to work at your call time.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
  • Be proactive – approach your guests; don’t wait for them to approach you. Be sure that each guest is greeted in a warm and friendly manner (“Hello, May I show you to your seat?”). Escort all guests to their seats.
  • Inspect your area prior to an event to be certain that it is clean and presentable to our guests.
  • Be sure there are no broken seats in your section.
  • Check each ticket thoroughly noting the date, section, row, and seat number.
  • Receive and act upon complaints from guests and refer them to the Guest Services Manager if unable to satisfy their needs. Know where the nearest staff person with a radio is at all times.
  • Keep aisles and steps clear of people.
  • When observing a patron smoking in the facility, direct them to the designated smoking areas.
  • Notify the Guest Services office when spills occur in your section.
  • Notify the Guest Services Manager when accidents, injuries, or disturbances occur in your area.
  • When observing a patron with unauthorized contraband (video/audio recorders, cameras) contact the Guest Services Manager immediately.

Crowd Management

Current Status: Closed
Department: Guest Services
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Guest Services Manager The primary responsibility of crowd management personnel is to guard designated areas by restricting access to the general public and to all who are not properly credentialed. It is important to be as courteous, polite, and helpful as possible to guests without allowing access to a restricted area. Crowd management representatives are positioned at key security and high-traffic areas, including but not limited to; player benches and locker rooms, performer dressing rooms, front of stage, loading dock doors, truck and bus gate, guest entrances/exits, and the arena floor. They will also be responsible for maintaining order when necessary to ensure the safety of all people who use this facility.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Smile and make eye contact!
  • Monitor metal detectors and wand guests as needed
  • Inspect all bags coming into the Arena
  • Assist ushers and ticket takers in their duties when necessary.
  • Provide direction to lost and confused guests.
  • Direct guests away from unauthorized areas.
  • Know and enforce the policies and procedures of the facility and the event.
  • Keep restricted areas and seating sections clear of unauthorized personnel.
  • Keep the safety of all performers, promoters, personnel and guests in the highest regard.
  • Know when to say “yes” and how to say “no.”
  • Be on time. Be in uniform and ready to work at your call time.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

Kitchen Manager

Suite Captain

Current Status: Open
Department: Food and Beverage
Type: Part-Time Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Catering Manager

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Set up suites in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Assist Runner with prep for pre-orders.
  • Check with the pantry coordinator for restocks and restock if necessary.
  • Ensure suites are in working order and clean. Report any discrepancies immediately to the manager.
  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, explain the menu and specials (if any), and explain how to use the phone to place orders.
  • Take orders from guests and give them to the Pantry Coordinator.
  • Use suggestive selling and up-selling techniques.
  • Ensure orders go out as soon as they are ready. Collect cash at the time of delivery if it is a cash order.
  • Follow up with suite holders to ensure guest satisfaction; give the last call for food before the kitchen closes.
  • Present dessert cart to all suites.
  • Ensure that final bills are distributed, signed, and given back to the Pantry Coordinator.
  • Ensure that the tip sheet, sign-in sheet, and occupancy sheet are completed.
  • Thank guests
  • Clean up suites and lock up according to the employee handbook.
  • Give any restocks and keys back to the Pantry Coordinator.
  • Question anything that may be unclear to you.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times, as described in the employee handbook.

Conversion

Current Status: Open

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, etc. as directed by the Event Manager.
  • Responsible for making sure all equipment is put in pre-designated space.
  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setup and breakdown of events.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of hand and basic power tools, forklifts, zamboni, and scissors lift is preferred.
  • Must have access to basic hand tools.
  • Must have the ability to work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, extreme noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, stooping, and kneeling without restrictions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted or 125 lbs assisted and operated vehicles in the performance of assigned duties in an effective and safe proper manner.

Maintenance Technician/Conversion Supervisor

Supervision Exercised: Conversion Staff General Statement of Duties: To perform building repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment as well as have the overall responsibility of overseeing the set-up and breakdown of the stages, chairs, risers, bleachers, house drapes, and flooring for events.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • To perform repairs on equipment and facility systems.
  • To perform and coordinate preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Perform tasks for event setups as requested.
  • To assist with tasks and/or repairs as assigned.
  • Responsible for setup and breakdown of staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, etc. as directed by the Event Manager or Director of Operations
  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setup and breakdown of events.
  • Operates forklifts, Zambonis, and other related equipment to arena operations.
  • To perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance and custodial functions and various technical areas including those listed above; ability to perform physical labor in tasks listed above; able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Previous experience in a similar arena faculty and/or a degree or vocational certificate in one or more areas preferred. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted or 125 lbs assisted and operated vehicles in the performance of assigned duties in an effective and safe proper manner. Portable Stand Attendant

Parking Attendant

Current Status: Open

Areas of Responsibility:

  •  A Parking Attendant’s main responsibility is to direct motorists during an event and is responsible for the following:
  • Smile, Greet and make eye contact with our guests! A parking attendant should have a pleasing personality, courteous disposition, and be a team player. He must be in good health and agile. Since attendants work with people and cars, an applicant should be comfortable working with both.
  • Answer incoming motorist’s questions and direct questions appropriately.
  • Attend to the needs of any guests that require assistance crossing the street.
  • Assist in setting up the parking lot for events with barricades, cones, and opening and closing gates.
  • Assist motorists in finding parking spaces and directing traffic as needed.
  • Required to work in inclimate weather. They keep count of the vehicles and holds required spaces for reservations and our VIP Guests
  • The parking attendant maintains security in the assigned lot. He watches for suspicious activity and ensures that no one is vandalizing our guest vehicles. and reports such. They notify their Parking Supervisor of any problems. Another duty of a parking attendant is to check for parking space availability.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

Parking Collector

Areas of Responsibility:

  • The primary responsibility of a parking collector personnel is to collect fees as motorists arrive on the parking lot.

  • Required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Required to work in adverse weather.
  • Must be able to count monies and give proper currency back to customers.

  • Most importantly, he should have honesty. There are occasions where they will be assigned to handle large sums of money or be entrusted with it.
  • Must possess prior cash handling experience and excellent cash handling ability.

 Runner / Driver

Current Status: Open

Areas of Responsibility:

  • The primary responsibility of a Runner and Driver is under the direction of the Production and/or Tour Manager.
  • Handle a multitude of tasks assigned by the tour/ production manager
  • Driver / Runner transport for both pre & post-show operations.
  • Runners are sent out on errands; therefore they must be familiar with the city in regards to stores, restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, and airports.

Parking Lot Supervisor

Current Status: Closed

Areas of Responsibility:

  • The primary responsibility of a parking Supervisor is to maintain the lot, payroll, training, and administration of all aspects of the parking services provided.
  • Must possess 5 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints with professionalism.
  • Monitor all revenue collections from parking collectors
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts
  • Must possess a valid MO driver’s license with a clean DMV record
  • Must possess prior cash-handling experience and excellent cash-handling ability.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to implement company procedures and comply with legal and safety regulations.
  • The parking supervisor will ensure all positions are on time and filled in order for the lot to run smoothly.
