2023 will mark the 14th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, THE “HAPPY TOGETHER” TOUR. The touring sensation that has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes. The Tour is again joined by THE TURTLES, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. Along with THE TURTLES will be LITTLE ANTHONY, GARY PUCKETT & THE UNION GAP, THE VOGUES, THE CLASSICS IV, and THE COWSILLS.
The Turtles are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Ron Dante joins the line-up to delight with his own mega-hits, “Sugar Sugar” and “Tracy.”
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap In 1968 Gary Puckett and The Union Gap had six consecutive gold records and sold more records than any other recording act…including the Beatles. They played a command performance at the White House for Prince Charles and Princess Anne by special invitation of the President.
The Vogues created a sound. It was a fresh, original blend of vocal harmony that left an indelible mark in the world of popular music. Inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001, The Vogues remain one of the top vocal groups on the oldies scene today, even though their first hit, “You’re the One” was released over fifty years ago. Four gold records, two platinum albums, and fifty years later, The Vogues continue to attract sellout audiences at concerts and club appearances around the country. Their outstanding talent, stylish delivery and excellent choice of material, coupled with their vital, poised performance, makes this group one of the world’s top nostalgia acts.
The Classics IV, one of the most popular and influential pop groups of the 60s and 70s originated in Jacksonville, Florida. They achieved phenomenal success with hits “Spooky,” “Stormy,” “Traces,” and “Everyday With You Girl,” all of which sold well over a million copies and were awarded gold discs by the Recording Industry of America. By the 1970s The Classics IV accumulated a total of 16 Billboard Chart hits, solidifying them as a hit-making pop group.
The Cowsills have been dazzling crowds the last three years on the Happy Together Tour with their effervescent brand of contagious pop magic. Bob, Paul, and Susan Cowsill are a family singing group and the original inspiration for television’s, The Partridge Family. Best known for songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things,” “Hair,” “Indian Lake” and “Love American Style.” The Cowsills appeared on numerous TV shows including The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
