The result is an album that reflects a sense of craftsmanship and immediacy\, capturing the quintessential Dwight Yoakam “cool” that has set him apart from his country contemporaries since the beginning of his legendary career. As always\, Yoakam’s lyrics throughout the album are both deceptively effortless and profoundly poignant. The album was mixed by world-class engineer Chris Lord-Alge. \nDwight Yoakam has sold over 26 million albums worldwide\, with five reaching the #1 spot on Billboard. He is a 21-time nominated\, multiple Grammy Award winner. He has 12 Gold albums and nine Platinum or multi-Platinum albums. Rolling Stone Country raves\, “Yoakam sounds right at home on these new versions\,” while NPR Music praises\, “You can hear Yoakam making masterful choices on every phrase.” \nIn addition to his musical career\, Yoakam has appeared in more than 40 feature films including Sling Blade\, Panic Room and Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky with Channing Tatum and Daniel Craig\, as well as a role in the Amazon series “Goliath.” Over the course of his storied acting career he has worked with the likes of Jodie Foster\, Tommy Lee Jones\, Jared Leto\, Matthew McConaughey and more. \nIn 1977\, Yoakam left Kentucky for Nashville to embark on a music career but found that the Music City was moving away from traditional country roots to more pop-country. He found himself better suited to the post-Bakersfield movement and became one of the founding fathers of the L.A. Cowpunk Scene influenced by second-wave rockabilly and punk alongside X\, Los Lobos\, The Knitters\, Rank & File and The Blasters. Fans of classic rock are in for a treat as BTO will be joined by none other than April Wine and Zebra\, making this a powerhouse lineup you won’t want to miss! \nRandy Bachman has become a legendary figure in the rock and roll world through his talents as a guitarist\, songwriter\, performer and producer. Bachman has earned over 120 gold and platinum album/singles awards around the world. His songwriting has garnered him the coveted #1 spot on radio playlists in over 20 countries and over the course of his career he has sold over 40 million records. Randy’s songs have been recorded by a broad range of artists and have been placed in dozens of TV shows\, films and commercials. Impressively\, his music has provided a veritable soundtrack for more than fifty years of popular music. \n \nBachman first scored Billboard radio chart success with his band The Guess Who in 1965 performing the song\, “Shakin’ All Over.” The Guess Who went on an unprecedented run of 5 singles that each sold a million copies\, all the product of the gold-plated Randy Bachman-Burton Cummings songwriting team. By 1970\, The Guess Who had sold more records than the entire Canadian recording industry to that point\, even outselling the Beatles that year. Their hits included “These Eyes\,” “Laughing\,” “Undun\,” “No Time\,” “No Sugar Tonight\,” and “American Woman.” \nRandy left The Guess Who at the height of their success. While this move stunned the music world\, Randy knew that he could never leave music behind. He formed Brave Belt – a country rock outfit in 1970 and experimented with a new musical style and lineup that eventually metamorphosed into Bachman-Turner Overdrive. \nUnbelievably\, Randy’s success with Bachman-Turner Overdrive would eclipse his earlier triumphs. Monstrous hits for the band included\, “Let it Ride\,” “Roll on Down the Highway\,” “Takin’ Care of Business\,” “Hey You\,” “Looking Out for #1\,” “Four Wheel Drive” and “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” which reached #1 in over 20 countries. \nIn 2023\, Bachman revived BTO. Led by Bachman\, BTO’s latest lineup also includes his son Tal Bachman. With Randy’s legendary guitar and Tal’s contemporary flair\, BTO forges ahead\, blending their classic hits with a fresh energy that captivates audiences worldwide. The band will also be performing hits from The Guess Who\, the iconic classic rock group which Bachman co-founded with Burton Cummings. The BTO legacy lives on\, promising unforgettable performances and a continued impact on the ever-evolving rock landscape. \n\nApril Wine’s extensive discography includes numerous gold and platinum selling albums featuring mega-hits like ‘Roller’\, ‘I Like to Rock’\, ‘You Could Have Been a Lady’ and others. Best known for their international top 40 hit ‘Just Between You And Me’\, an iconic power ballad that made them the very first Canadian band on MTV\, April Wine went on to release over twenty albums and have received a combined total of 11 Juno Award nominations in the Group Of the Year\, Album of the Year\, and Best Selling Single categories. \nIn 2009\, April Wine was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame and were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for being part of Canadian Music History for 40 years\, and in 2010 the band was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. \n \n\nSome career achievements in rock music are so impressive but find themselves overlooked because they are not to be believed. Sparkle and Fade\, Everclear’s platinum-selling\, major-label debut album\, had a massive impact in 1995 with its chart-topping hit “Santa Monica\,” making Everclear a household name and catapulting the band into the masses. The acclaimed collection – also featuring the singles “Heroin Girl” and “Heartspark Dollarsign” – has been hailed as “a must have for any fan of pop-punk” (Punknews) and “a tough\, melodic set of gnarled post-punk hard rock” (AllMusic)\, with The Rolling Stone Album Guide declaring\, “Sparkle and Fade was everything a radio-ready rock record should be: explosive\, soul-searching\, belligerent.” \n \n“Sparkle and Fade was not the first album I had made\, but it was the album I had wanted to make my whole life. It changed everything for me and Everclear\,” shares Alexakis. “Because of its success and lasting impact\, this band has survived and prospered for three decades\, and this tour celebrating Sparkle and Fade is another way of us saying ‘thank you’ to all of the incredible fans – old and new. We’re excited to travel the U.S. this fall with our fellow ‘90s brethren Local H and Sponge. In addition to all the hits and fan favorites\, we’re going to pretty much play the whole album through the course of the show to commemorate this 30th anniversary. If you are a fan of this record\, you do not want to miss this tour!” \nSince forming in 1992\, Everclear has enjoyed a lengthy career by any measure\, spanning 11 studio releases\, including four that have been certified Gold or Platinum\, selling over 6 million records\, and achieving 12 Top 40 Hit Singles on Mainstream Rock\, Alternative\, and Adult Top 40 radio\, including “Santa Monica\,” “Father of Mine\,” “I Will Buy You A New Life\,” “Wonderful” and “Everything To Everyone\,” as well as numerous videos\, thousands of shows\, and various other accolades\, including a 1998 Grammy nomination. The band’s 1993 debut album\, World Of Noise\, released on the Portland independent label Tim/Kerr Records\, paired with their significant efforts to break into college radio and the buzz they’d created within the Portland music scene\, attracted the attention of major labels\, including Capitol Records\, which signed the group soon after and released Sparkle and Fade. To celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary in 2022\, Everclear reissued World Of Noise as a special remastered\, deluxe edition\, making the album available for the first time on digital streaming platforms with 6 bonus songs in addition to its original 12 tracks. Adding to the celebrations that year\, Everclear released a commemorative anniversary video “Everclear – 30 Years Gone: A Retrospective\,” hosted by former MTV VJ\, current radio host and longtime friend Matt Pinfield – PRESS HERE to watch. \n \nIn 2023\, Everclear released their first official live album\, Live at The Whisky a Go Go\, showcasing the band’s acclaimed and energetic live performance. The 17-track collection\, available via Sunset Blvd Records\, features the live recording of the Los Angeles show on Everclear’s 30th Anniversary Tour\, showcasing the hits and hidden treasures from throughout the band’s extraordinary catalog as well as two new bonus studio tracks: “Sing Away\,” a powerful single addressing teen suicide\, and their 2022 politically-charged single “Year Of The Tiger.” Continuing to celebrate their acclaimed decades-long career and provide the band’s dedicated fanbase with long-awaited content\, Everclear released their platinum-selling album Songs From An American Movie Vol. One on vinyl for the first time ever in 2024 via Intervention Records. \n \nIn addition to his thousands of Everclear performances over the band’s lengthy career\, Alexakis released his first solo album\, Sun Songs\, in 2019. That same year\, Alexakis revealed his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the age of 54 and has since donated one dollar from every ticket purchased for his performances to charities such as Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and National MS Society. The now 62-year-old currently appears on the cover of PEOPLE Health (Winter/Spring 2025 issue)\, where he shares his positive outlook and health routine to keep his symptoms at bay\, expressing\, “I have a lot of gratitude.” In the story\, he also references a deep cut off Sparkle and Fade\, originally written for those battling addiction and sobriety\, saying\, “There’s a song we do called ‘Strawberry’—and the repeating line is ‘Don’t fall down\, you’ll never get up.’ It’s a song of hope\, really. For me it’s about surrendering to the fact that I have MS and being able to talk about and understand it.” Alexakis shows no signs of slowing down and\, more than three decades later\, Everclear’s enduring legacy and ongoing appeal as a live band continues URL:https://familyarena.com/event/everclear/ CATEGORIES:Concert ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://familyarena.com/wp-content/uploads/Everclear_1920x1080a.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20250927T190000 DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20250927T223000 DTSTAMP:20250624T151253Z CREATED:20250623T184832Z LAST-MODIFIED:20250624T151253Z UID:10000127-1758999600-1759012200@familyarena.com SUMMARY:Clapton Chronicles DESCRIPTION:Clapton Chronicles is a faithful and improvisational friendly composite of the various phases of Eric Clapton’s diverse and amazing career.
