DESCRIPTION:It’s a night of classics as The Family Arena presents The Legends of Country Rock. Don’t miss an unforgettable experience as Pure Prairie League\, Atlanta Rhythm Section\, Richie Furay\, and Firefall take the stage to perform their iconic hits. \nFrom their beginnings in mid-Sixties Ohio as a group of friends playing cover tunes to the present-day unit featuring founding member/pedal-steel innovator John David Call\, propulsive drummer/vocalist Scott Thompson\, keyboard master/vocalist Randy Harper and featuring new members Jared Camic on bass and vocals\, plus ace guitarist/vocalist Jeff Zona\, Pure Prairie League continues to embellish the rich 43-year history of one of Country-Rock’s pioneering forces. \nFormed from the cream of Atlanta’s studio musicians\, the Atlanta Rhythm Section (actually hailing from nearby Doraville\, Georgia) came together in 1970 after working on a Roy Orbison recording session. In 1977\, “So In To You” became the band’s breakthrough single\, reaching the U.S. Top 10\, and the album from which it came\, A Rock And Roll Alternative\, went gold. Their platinum follow-up album\, Champagne Jam\, broke into the Top 10 in 1978\, together with the blockbuster single “Imaginary Lover” (“I’m Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight” was another major hit from the same album). \nRichie Furay is an American music luminary\, a Colorado Music Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. He is celebrated for pioneering Country-Rock as founding member of the legendary and quintessential groups Buffalo Springfield\, Poco\, and the Souther-Hillman-Furay band. He wrote “Kind Woman\,” “My Kind of Love\,” and “Nobody’s Fool” for Buffalo Springfield and “A Good Feelin’ to Know\,” “Anyway Bye Bye\,” and “Do You Feel It Too” for Poco. \nIn 40+ years of making exceptional music\, Firefall has distinguished themselves as one of the top bands from the genre of music called Americana. They helped spearhead the birth and continuation of the country rock/folk rock sound of the 70’s. Firefall is as vital as ever\, standing out as one of the few remaining torchbearers for harmony laden rock; a welcome blast from the past focused firmly on the future.

DESCRIPTION:With a highly successful recording and touring career that spans over five decades\, Al Green’s musical roots originate in Memphis\, but he has made an undeniable and lasting impact on music and musicians around the world from R&B\, Soul\, and Pop to Blues and Gospel. Throughout his career\, he has earned a long list of hit albums and singles including his breakthrough release Al Green Gets Next To You in 1971 featuring “Tired of Being Alone\,” which was Top Ten on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100\, and 1972’s Let’s Stay Together which reached No. 1 on the Top R&B Albums chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200 with the title track hitting No. 1 on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts concurrently. \nThe hits kept coming\, Green continued his chart success with back to back hits including 1972’s platinum selling album I’m Still In Love With You\, 1973’s Call Me\, featuring the hit single “You Ought To Be With Me\,” 1973’s Livin’ For You\, 1974’s gold selling Al Green Explores Your Mind and 1975’s Al Green Is Love\, all hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart plus the Top 20 R&B hit albums Full of Fire and Have A Good Time\, both released in 1976. In 1975\, Al Green released his platinum selling hits collection Al Green’s Greatest Hits which reached top 20 on Billboard’s Top 200 and No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart\, and packed with hits including “Let’s Stay Together\,” “Call Me (Come Back Home)\,” “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” and “Tired of Being Alone.” \nIn the 80s\, the Reverend Al Green returned to the music he was raised on\, and for the next decade\, he focused on Gospel music. His first Gospel album\, The Lord Will Make A Way\, was the album that resulted in the first Grammy of his career.
