Born in Rochester, New York, Lou Gramm is best known as the powerful voice behind Foreigner, one of the most successful rock bands of the late 1970s and 1980s. Gramm’s vocals brought life to iconic hits like “Hot Blooded,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold as Ice,” and the global chart-topper “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

Gramm’s career began with the band Black Sheep before he joined forces with Mick Jones to form Foreigner. As the band’s lead vocalist and co-writer, Gramm helped Foreigner achieve massive success, with multiple platinum albums and a string of Top 10 hits.
