Supervision Exercised and Statement of Duties
Conversion Staff General Statement of Duties: To perform building repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment as well as have the overall responsibility of overseeing the set-up and breakdown of the stages, chairs, risers, bleachers, house drapes, and flooring for events.
Areas of Responsibility
- To perform repairs on equipment and facility systems.
- To perform and coordinate preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform tasks for event setups as requested.
- To assist with tasks and/or repairs as assigned.
- Responsible for setup and breakdown of staging, risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, etc. as directed by the Event Manager or Director of Operations
- Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for setup and breakdown of events.
- Operates forklifts, Zambonis, and other related equipment to arena operations.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance and custodial functions and various technical areas including those listed above; ability to perform physical labor in tasks listed above; able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in a similar arena faculty and/or a degree or vocational certificate in one or more areas preferred. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted or 125 lbs assisted and operated vehicles in the performance of assigned duties in an effective and safe proper manner. Must have access to basic hand tools. Must have the ability to work indoors and outdoors, being exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold, dust, dirt, extreme noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
